THE UK’s #1 CHEMICAL WAREHOUSING SPECIALIST

H.W. Coates are experts in the storage and handling of packaged chemicals.

Our warehouses are equipped with high specification facilities which include sprinkler systems, barcode control and fire water containment. We also sign up to a raft of regulatory and accreditation regimes such as COMAH, SQAS and ISO.
Warehousing isn’t just storage. It means receipt, repacking, labelling, stock control and dispatch. We have long-serving, dedicated and highly trained staff. As well as making sure that we always invest in the very best and safest handling equipment.

All of this ensures our customers are left assured that their goods are stored safely and securely.

COMAH WAREHOUSING

We have more COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) warehousing than anyone else.

This includes Upper Tier and Lower Tier COMAH sites handling hazards such as toxic, flammable and oxidising chemicals. Our numerous COMAH sites have an array of hazardous substance consents. This provides the flexibility to deal with high demand or new chemical requirements.

We have a DGSA (Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor) at each of our sites and we have a long history of working with the HSE (Health & Safety Executive). This level of expertise ensures each chemical hazard is handled correctly and in accordance with the regulatory regime.
